Claire Hutchings, GAFSIP Secretary,  visits The Gambia to see the materials from the second container distributed.

Second container of 2005 arrives in The Gambia.

19th July 2005

The second 40 foot container, with in excess of 20 tonnes of educational support materials - i.e computers, books and furniture - together with fire fighting and rescue equipment was sent to The Gambia.

Plymouth-Dakar Rally:
Ian, Darren and Pete arrived safely after 19 days and 4663 miles and raised over £3000 for gafsip.
The vehicle has been handed over to the Gambia Fire and Ambulance Service.
 
Congratulations to the guys for their fantastic achievement.

The disco went well and raised £500.

Bristol Aztec Rotary Club are raising £25,000 to provide all Fire Stations in The Gambia with a Rescue Boat.

The Ridings High School in South Gloucestershire has donated 150 teaching computers for a Technical School in The Gambia.

13th November 2004
